Low hanging fruit

Farmer Dren's sheep have been going missing. He wants help to figure out what it is and put a stop to it.

[!info] The sheep are being hunted by a Shadow mastiff. Investigating will lead the party to discover a sparse trail of ashes leading into the woods, southeast of the village. There they will find a corpse nailed to a tree, cut, carved, wounded, dried blood painting his skin. There is an intense smell of smoke, though other than the trail that led you here you see no signs of charring or burning. (see The Hunt Begins)
